We’re growing our Serious Sales team, in line with the growing number of pubs and bars now stocking Serious Pig, and to help us tell customers about exciting new products we’ve got just around the corner. If you have a passion for great food and a genuine interest in the craft brewing world then you’ll fit right in as it’s pretty much all we talk about!
The right attitude wins over qualifications with us, along with a desire to roll your sleeves up and just get things done. You’ll need to be a good conversationalist who’s eager to pick up the phone and spread the serious snacking message. Experience helps, but it’s not necessary to apply, as you can learn everything you need to know on the job with support from Tom, our Sales Manager.
Win new customers and accounts with a focus on telephone approaches
Build strong working relationships with our existing customers, through replenishment calls and one-off projects – always thinking creatively about new ways to engage interest and boost sales
Update the orders spreadsheet & CRM system with accurate data
Work with the Operations Team to ensure smooth delivery and tracking of orders
Run customer sampling and staff training sessions with trade customers
Attend trade and consumer events
The confidence to engage with people on the phone and face to face and to build meaningful commercial relationships
Self-starter with good ability to prioritise
Patient and resilient
Open to learning and listening, and confident to share own ideas
Confident with technology (all the fun stuff like Google Suite, CRM’s, MS Office etc)
A good understanding of commerce and a genuine interest in the craft food and drink industry
Passion, initiative and enthusiasm in bucket loads
A good awareness of Serious Pig products and their place in the snack sector
